William Amann, LEED Fellow
For more than thirty years, William "Bill" Amann has been committed to the principles of sustainability and resiliency. In that time, he has built M&E Engineers into one of the most respected and recognized specialist, green engineering firms in the Mid-Atlantic region. The firm’s portfolio of Fortune 100 and government projects is a testament to his dedication to and promotion of innovative, sustainable, resilient, and energy efficient building solutions.
In addition to being a prolific educator and speaker on sustainability and healthy buildings, Bill has been extremely active in his dedication to making New Jersey a greener more energy efficient state. He is the former Chairman and a current board member of the New Jersey chapter of the US Green Building Council, a sponsoring member of Urban Green (the NYC branch of the USGBC), and is the current Chairman of the Somerset County Energy Council.
In 2015, Bill was named as a LEED Fellow by GBCI, the certification branch of the US Green Building Council. This is the most prestigious designation awarded by the international organization and is given in recognition of significant achievement in the green building, energy efficiency, and sustainability community.
