Unilever created a healthy and sustainable headquarters in North America.
The redevelopment and expansion of its existing 325,000 square foot 5 building campus trasformed a dated office space into a modern, healthy and productive work environment for its employees.
The design implements solutions for reducing the environmental impact of the facility while helping increase the growth of the business.
M&E Engineers, in association with Deerns, performed the following consulting services: Engineering Coordination, Commissioning, LEED & WELL, Solar Feasibility & Implementation, and Incentive Programs.
The project will receive $400,000 in incentives through the Pay for Performance program.
Wyndham Worldwide Headquarters
Double LEED Silver
The 250,000 sq ft building is the first to earn both CI and EBOM certification.
M&E provided retro-commissioning and LEED consulting for the EBOM Silver certification and energy modeling for the Commercial Interiors Silver certification.
The building has an Energy Star score of 99, indicating it is in the top 1% for energy performance of office buildings nationwide. M&E has assisted Wyndham in achieving the Energy Star label since 2010.
Wyndham was awarded with The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award from BOMA, as well as The Award For Excellence in the Environmental Quality Category from NJBIA, for this exceptional facility.
Musconetcong River Resource Center
This renovation of a graphite mill on the shore of a wild and scenic river now serves as an office and educational space for the Musconetcong Watershed Association.
The project has achieved a LEED Platinum rating under LEED for New Construction.
Open loop geothermal, high efficiency lighting, and a solar PV System all helped achieve 16 of 17 energy points.
Composting toilet and grey water systems were installed, which contributed to a 65% reduction in water use.
M&E provided all MEP engineering and utilized Energy Modeling as a design tool, which predicted a 35% reduction in energy use. M&E managed the vast majority of EA, WE, and IEQ credits and managed the commissioning process.
PSE&G Customer Service Centers
LEED Silver for Multiple Locations
M&E Engineers has provided engineering, LEED consulting, energy modeling, and commissioning services to over six different PSE&G Customer Service Center (CSC) locations throughout New Jersey. M&E worked closely with DeFeo Associates on the project.
Customer Service Centers are being built to serve a densely populated areas and are typically accessible by multiple forms of transportation.
At one particular location, water consumption was reduced by 35% by utilizing waterless urinals and ultra low flow fixtures.
LED lights and occupancy sensors were used to achieve 37% lighting energy savings, and 87% of the equipment and appliances were Energy Star rated.
