Kirby Kennel Location: Morristown The Seeing Eye is a world-renowned institution that breeds, raises, and trains canines to assist the visually impaired. Their 5-story kennel at their Morristown Headquarters suffered from humidity and ventilation problems that led to infections and health problems for the dogs. M&E engineered a unique solution that utilized much of the existing ventilation system in order to contain construction costs. Chilled water cooling and a desiccant system were used to control moisture levels. To prevent spread of infections, the kennel is ventilated with 100% outside air. The environment was drastically improved, and the operating costs were held to a minimum. |
